The Toronto Young Leadership Board was formed in 2008 by a group of 10 young professionals determined to raise both funds and awareness for Save a Child’s Heart. The Leadership Board is committed to the idea of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world by helping those in need.
The mission of the Board is to focus on engaging young adults in the Toronto community through informative and social events in order to promote awareness and encourage philanthropy amongst their generation.
The Board started an annual fundraiser, Bowl Your Heart, in order to bring together the growing number of young professionals in the community interested in making a difference. With the support of other university students and young adults, the Board has successfully raised over $250, 000 in just three years. The Board is looking forward to the forth annual Bowl Your Heart Out on May 6, 2012.
Although our leadership board is based in Toronto, Young Professionals across the country have dedicated their time and energy to SACH and have put together a number of remarkable events and fundraisers. If you are interested in organizing an event in your community or on campus please contact our Toronto office to get involved. We are always looking for more young professionals to help make a difference!
