Save A Child's Heart (SACH) has partnered with Hillel Tel Aviv University (TAU) and the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya (IDC) in order to increase awareness on campus amongst Israeli students. This project was made possible by the Samuel Bronfman Foundation.
The initiative brings with it great educational and hands on opportunities for students who can get involved and volunteer at the SACH Children's Home and the Wolfson Medical Center.
Students also plan events to raise awareness on their respective campuses and in their communities.
In the academic year 2009/2010, in addition to volunteering, TAU organized a Purim event on campus where students and faculty decorated masks that were later filled with candy and delivered to the SACH children. They also organized a benefit concert in Tel Aviv with the Israeli artist Almah Zohar.
IDC hosted SACH moms and children for a Shabbat dinner on campus, sold SACH T-shirts and bracelets on campus, and raised awareness at their Lag Ba’omer bonfire.
