ESICM's annual congress - Dr. Othman's testimonial

ESICM's annual congress 2011 - Dr. Othman's testimonial:

I am Dr. Othman Abu Salah

Have been working in Rafidia hospital – Palestine – Nablus, as pediatrician and recently doing my fellowship in PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE at WOLFSON MEDICAL CENTER.

After finishing my practice I will return to my place of work at Rafidia hospital in Nablus to apply my gained knowledge there.

In this letter I want to give my great thanks to my leader in fellowship Dr. Sion Houri - head of PICU, SACH team and the director Mr. Simon Fisher who gave me and my Israeli colleague - the fellow from PICU Dr. Racheli Sion Sarid an opportunity to attend the annual congress 2011 ESICM – European society for intensive care medicine, which was held in Berlin, Germany from 1st to 5th of October 2001.

I want also to appreciate the efforts that were applied for arranging for the congress – registration for the congress, getting an invitation letter, helping to get travel visa from the German embassy, arranging with travel agent for tickets and booking in hotel. And all these expenses were covered financially.

About the congress itself:
The European Society of Intensive Care Medicine was organizing its 24th ESICM LIVES Annual Congress in Berlin, Germany from Saturday 01 until Wednesday 05 October 2011.

This Congress was one of the major intensive care meetings in 2011. It featured parallel sessions including over 500 lectures, presentations, debates, round table discussions, tutorials and interactive educational sessions. Invited speakers were all well-known international experts in their field.

Presentation of original research was one of the priorities of this series of Congresses and was anticipated that there will be almost 1400 oral and poster presentations of unpublished research.

This combination of thematic presentations, education and discussion and debate of new data was an intoxicating mixture that made the Congress an event which was so interesting.
