The NY SACH Young Leadership group held an event on June 15th to celebrate the recommendation for special consultative status by the UN.
The event was hosted at FoodParc in collaboration with the Big Screen Project in midtown Manhattan.
The event featured a group of professional singers, accompanied by a pianist, singing Broadway Show Tunes and Jazz Classics, a live salsa band, and photos from the SACH International Photo Exhibit, both actual photos from the exhibit as well as a display of the digital photo exhibit on the Big Screen.
There was a great raffle with prizes including Lincoln Center Ballet Tickets, Jean Paul Gaultier shoes by Melissa, and tickets to BB Kings Harlem Gospel Brunch, among other prizes. The event was outdoors and we had a perfect early summer night in NYC.
In total about 250 people attended. Also attending the event, from SACH were Executive Director of SACH US David Litwack, Young Leadership Director Devorah Serkin, Volunteer and Project Coordinator Sloane Blair, and SACH US Board Member David Avital.
