Save a Child's Heart Presented During the Annual United Jewish Communities Conference
On November 13, 2008, Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) took part in the annual conference of the National Women’s Philanthropy of the United Jewish Communities – the Lions of Judah - at the David Intercontinental in Tel Aviv.
An important part of the schedule of the conference was breakout sessions, in English, in a variety of topics to which women from all fields of occupation were invited.
Dr. Alona Raucher, as a female doctor who travelled on behalf of SACH to the third world and developing countries, was invited to attend the "Tikkun Olam: Repairing – and Preparing – the World" panel. The purpose of this panel was to show the ways in which Israelis and Jews provide aid to various populations around the world and not only to the Jewish population.
The SACH photography exhibition was displayed in the conference room during this panel, and 18 year old Ameilia from Angola, who underwent an open heart surgery just a few weeks before, was invited to take part in this special event.
