Dr. Simon Yakobashvili graduated from the Tbilisi Medical School in Georgia where he worked for several years as a specialist in obstetric anesthesia and Director of the Department of Anesthesia.
Dr. Yakobashvili immigrated to Israel in 1992 and two years later obtained his Israeli medical license. He immediately started his residency in anesthesia at the Wolfson Medical Center. Since 2001, Dr. Yakobashvili has been an attending anesthesiologist at the Wolfson Medical Center, specializing in cardiovascular, thoracic and pediatric anesthesia.
Dr. Yakobashvili has taken a fellowship in pediatric cardiac anesthesia in Munich and a course in pain medicine in London.
