Dr. Sherman Alexander studied medicine at the University of Samara Medical School in Russia.
He worked as an anesthetist at the Regional Hospital in Samara for several years before immigrating to Israel in 1991. Two years later he began his residency in anesthesiology at the Wolfson Medical Center.
Dr. Alexander has taken a fellowship in pediatric anesthesia in Munich, Germany and has clinical experience at Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has passed a course in transesophageal echocardiography taken in Zurich. Dr. Alexander did his national service as a doctor in the Israeli Navy, where he also took a course in Maritime Medicine, Diving Medicine & Hyperbaric Therapy.
Since 1999, Dr. Alexander has been a senior anesthesiologist at the Wolfson Medical Center, specializing in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery.
