Israeli-born Yigal Sofer studied bio-medics at Tel Aviv College.
This three year course included doing stages in echo Doppler skills and perfusion (use of the heart lung machine). Immediately after college, Yigal joined the staff of the Wolfson Medical Center where he has been working as a perfusionist for eleven years. He has also worked at Asuta Hospital in Tel Aviv and Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot.
Yigal was sent to the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan by the late Dr. Cohen, where he did a fellowship in pediatric perfusion.
