Dr. Othman Badir was born in Israel and studied medicine in Turkey.
He took a fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at Ibnicina Hospital in Ankara. In 1999, Dr. Badir returned to Israel and joined the staff of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at Wolfson Medical Center as a resident in adult cardiac surgery. During this time, he studied pediatric cardiac surgery under Dr. Ami Cohen and Dr. Lior Sasson.
Dr. Badir is now a fully qualified cardiac surgeon and attends most pediatric cardiac surgeries assisting Dr. Sasson.
