New Echo Machine to Palestinian Dr. Assali

SACH Palestinian Partner receives a New Portable Echo Machine

On January 6, 2009, a new portable echo machine was given to Save a Child’s Heart Palestinian partner Dr. Omar Assali from the West Bank city of Nablus.

The echo machine was donated by SACH Holland following a fundraising event that took place on October 16th, 2008 at the Concergebouw de Vereeniging in Nijmegen.

The Holland event, which was attended by 250 people, was spearheaded by SACH Holland Founders, Dr. Livia Kapusta (Chairperson) and Ronald Vles (Secretary) and orchestrated and organized by Robert Baruch, MC of the night and Co-founder of KidsRights.

Israeli International singer NOA performed that evening and the concert and dinner had raised the amount of EURO 240,000 for Save a Child's Heart, which included funding towards the purchase of the echo-machine for Dr. Omar Assali.

This portable echo machine will enable Dr. Assali and his colleagues to help hundreds of Palestinian children in desperate need for life saving heart treatment in the Northern West Bank region including Nablus and the villages around it, Jenin, Qalqilia and Tulkarem.

The machine, which fits a suitcase, will allow Dr. Assali to travel with it throughout the West Bank. In this manner Dr. Assali will be able to treat children who can not come to his clinic in Nablus thereby improving their quality of care.
